4. Health Data (Apple Health and Health Connect)
If you choose to connect Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android and grant permission, askROI may collect, access, and process health and fitness data from your device, including sleep data, step count, heart rate, resting heart rate, and active calories burned.
We use this data only to provide the health-related features you request in the app, including answering your questions and generating summaries, recent readings, and trends about your activity, sleep, and heart rate.
Health data access is permission-based. askROI requests access only after you choose to enable these features and approve the request in the app. You can revoke access at any time in Apple Health or Health Connect settings on your device.
We do not collect health data in the background and only access it when you initiate a request within the app.
When you request a health-related response, relevant health data may be read from your device and securely transmitted to askROI so we can process your request and return a response in the chat. This may include processing by our vendors and service providers, including contracted LLM providers, solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.
We do not sell health data and do not use health data for advertising. We do not use health data for marketing, profiling, insurance, or credit purposes. Health data accessed through Apple HealthKit is used solely to provide and improve app functionality and is not used for advertising or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Health data that is processed as part of your use of the Services may be retained as part of your chat history and account records for as long as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain safety and security, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your Personal Information, including stored health-related data contained in your account or chat history, through your askROI account where available or by contacting us at datap@askroi.com.
We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect health data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
5. Data processing and artificial intelligence ("AI") services
askROI provides AI-powered services through a combination of licensed Large Language Models (LLMs) and intelligent routing. Here's how we handle your data in this context:
Licensed LLM Services: We partner with leading LLM providers to process your queries. When you use our Services, your input may be sent to one or more of these licensed LLM services.
Intelligent Routing: We use an intelligent routing system to direct your queries to the most appropriate LLM based on the content and context of your request. This routing process may involve analyzing your query, but this analysis is used solely for the purpose of selecting the appropriate LLM.
Data Handling: While we do not own or train the LLMs used in our Services, we are committed to protecting your data: We do not store the content of your interactions with the LLMs beyond what is necessary to provide and improve our Services. We have agreements in place with our LLM providers that restrict their use of your data to providing and improving the LLM services.
No Independent AI Training: Unlike companies that own their LLMs, we do not use your data to train AI models. Your interactions are used solely to provide you with the requested services and to improve our routing and integration processes.
Transparency: We are committed to being transparent about our use of licensed LLMs. If you have questions about which LLM processed a particular query, you can contact us at privacy@askROI.com.
